November 6 Sherry Williams “Get Your Kicks” - The OnStage
Musicals Big Band All Stars plays big band swing and jazz standards in the style of Ella Fitzgerald, Lena Horn, Sahara Vaughn
and Natalie Cole. Sherry’s passion for well crafted music and her superb vocal ability clearly place her in a category
in which few artists have arrived, and though she emerges from the shadows of the great ladies that have gone on before her,
her style is unmistakably her own. Sherry has acted in films and on television, has worked extensively in and around the Los
Angeles and Denver areas in important jazz venues, nightclubs and festivals, and has recorded three solo CDs. In 1997, she
released her first CD, The Way You Love Me, to rave reviews. Her second release, A Taste Of Sherry, was on the 2003 Grammy
ballot and one of the songs was used in the soundtrack of the film THE CORE. In late 2003 she released You Must Believe In
Spring, again to rave reviews. Sherry has worked with a multitude of jazz greats, and even shared the stage with the late
Herbie Mann. To watch her work is to see a most exciting performer. To meet her is to know that she is star material. The
Sherry Williams story is to be continued... right here on our stage.
